The Health Science Students’ Association is pleased to host their first ever breakout room event! This event is meant for health science students to collaborate and apply their knowledge in a fun and interactive setting.
The event is going to be designed in a breakout room style. Participants are going to be placed in a meticulously designed scenario that spans from room to room. Using elements of the rooms and given clues, teams will try to escape within a pre-determined time limit. Participants are to use their intelligence, reasoning, teamwork and of course interprofessional collaboration to escape. The breakout room will incorporate subjects relevant to health sciences.

AIC is a conference that brings together students, faculty and health professionals of all health sciences backgrounds from all over Alberta to learn about and discuss recent advancements in healthcare from an interdisciplinary point of view. It is a one-of-a-kind event organized by students, for students to give them the opportunity to learn, teach, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals in the province. This year we will be co-hosting our event with the Nursing Undergraduate Association (NUA), and our theme is Global Health Care: Home and Abroad. Our goal is to focus on healthcare issues on a global scale while also linking these topics to healthcare in our own country and communities.
