2018-19 HSSA General Elections

HSSA elections (1)

The Health Sciences’ Students’ Association is holding their general elections!

If you are interested in working in an Interprofessional group of motivated students, HSSA wants you to run for a position! HSSA is a representative of health sciences students to the HSERC, and also helps guide the Interprofessional components of health science programs.  As well, we promote and facilitate interprofessionalism by putting on academic and social events including the Health Care Team Challenge, the Alberta Interprofessional Conference, as well as social nights (did someone say Paint Night?). HSSA is looking for candidates to help improve on our pre-existing events as well as to bring in new initiatives to promote interprofessionalism.

Nomination packages will be due March 16th at 2359MT.

The campaign begins March 19 at 0800MT.

Who can apply to run? If you are a full or part-time student in 2018-19 and have a membership in a Health Science Faculty Association (DSA, MSA, APSA, RMSA, NuFSSA, NUA/NGSA, SPHSA, MLSA, RTSA, PERCS) you are eligible to run!

Who can vote? If you are currently a full time or part time student in 2017-18 and have a membership in a Health Science Faculty Association (DSA, MSA, APSA, RMSA, NuFSSA, NUA/NGSA, SPHSA, MLSA, RTSA, PERCS) you are eligible to vote in the upcoming election.

What positions can you run? There are a total of 6 positions that you can run for. These include President, VP Academic, VP Administration, VP Social, and VP Marketing.
